Clinical Educator - Clinical Support Unit

About the Role

The Clinical Educator plans, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates education programs for clinical personnel. In this role, you will provide clinical education and evaluation to our Clinical Support Unit-Float Pool staff, support evidence-based practice, and serve as a leader and consultant within your area of expertise. You will contribute to a culture of continuous learning and professional growth through innovative teaching strategies and comprehensive educational programming.

• Location:
  
  On-site e's Central Plaza in Boise - Clinical Support Unit
• Develops, implements and oversees the orientation and/or education of staff
• Designs or collaborates in designing educational curriculums, classes and activities
• Evaluates effectiveness and outcomes of educational endeavors
• Acts as a facilitator, consultant, and leader in area of expertise
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of subject matter
• Provides education consistent with current protocols, procedures, evidence, and Magnet (as appropriate)
• Devises and maintains strategies to ensure professional development
• Coaches program participants and/or unit practitioners
• Develops education to meet regulatory standards and all related policies, procedures, and guidelines
• Manages multiple complex education projects
• May provide input into the employee evaluation process, counsel employees and/or recommend initial discipline and other personnel actions

• Education:
  
  Associate's or Bachelor’s Nursing Degree
• Experience:
  
  Minimum of 2-4 years of related clinical experience (any combination RN experience); educational background a plus
• Strong clinical expertise in a specialized area
• Proven ability to educate, mentor, and lead in a clinical setting
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and project management skills
