Position Summary:The Construction Scheduling Engineer will work within the Scheduling department and will report to the Scheduling Manager. They will work closely with Superintendents and Construction Managers to input status updates, incorporate changes and delays, and analyze project schedule progress. The Construction Scheduling Manager will create, maintain, and report the construction schedule from preconstruction through construction and commissioning on large hi-tech projects.

This position will be a combination of on project site and in-office Boise,.

Salary Range: $95,000- $125,000

  • Lead the project team through the schedule development process from project initiation to closeout.
  • Facilitate schedule meetings, including phase planning, weekly work planning, and team schedule reviews.
  • Build schedule detail based on construction drawings and models with input from the project team.
  • Collect and input status updates.
  • Observe (walk) the jobsite to verify field progress.
  • Identify changes to the project schedule and notify project team of impacts to critical path activities.
  • Ensure technical schedule integrity is maintained.
  • Produce and distribute weekly schedules, forecasts, and reports.
  • Analyze schedule variances, apportion delays, and support closure of time disputes.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to the project team on scheduling and schedule updates.

Qualifications:

Professional Experience and Education

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent degree and/or equivalent field work experience required.
  • Education background in materials and methods of construction.
  • A minimum of two (2) years’ construction project scheduling experience required.
  • Extensive experience of large industrial and hi-tech fabrication projects preferred.

Position Related Skills

  • Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Power Point and Teams),and have a general understanding of working within a computer network.
  • Experience with project management software such as Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, and Primavera Project Planner (P6).
  • Experience with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit and Navisworks.
  • Training in design and construction document reading, design specifications, survey theory and techniques.
  • Experience in organizing technical data in a neat and accurate method. Familiar with CSI specification system for construction.
  • Demonstrate thorough understanding of all aspects of construction.
  • Highly developed visual observation and interpretation skills.
  • Ability to work well and maintain a cooperative attitude through high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent time-management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work while frequently interrupted by phone calls and questions on work in progress.
