Job Title: EHS Lead

Location: Boise,

Start Date: ASAP

Duration: 12+ months

Type: 1099 Contractor

Traveler Rate: $48 to $50 per hour + $125 per diem

Local Rate: $52 to $60 per hour

Pay Frequency: Weekly

Hours: Approximately 60 hours per week

Schedule: Monday through Saturday

Shift: 1st shift, six 10-hour days

Project Scope

This role supports safety leadership on a large-scale construction project valued at approximately $8 billion. An on-site Safety Technician is already in place. The client is seeking a strong, reliable EHS Lead to provide project-level oversight, reinforce field execution, and collaborate closely with other safety subcontractors and project leadership.

Qualifications
  • CSP or CHST required, or a 4-year degree from an accredited university in safety engineering or a related field
  • Equivalent Qualifications Considered With Demonstrated Experience
  • Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience
  • Minimum 3 years of safety program management experience
  • OSHA 500 preferred, or demonstrated ability to train workers in construction safety
Key Responsibilities
  • Provide site-level EHS leadership and oversight for a major construction project
  • Support and mentor the existing on-site Safety Technician
  • Conduct daily safety inspections and field observations
  • Coordinate and collaborate with other safety subcontractors on site
  • Enforce OSHA standards and site-specific safety programs
  • Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and workforce engagement efforts
  • Maintain safety documentation, reports, and corrective action tracking
  • Support incident investigations and drive corrective and preventive actions
Skills
  • Strong leadership presence and ability to manage safety personnel
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Proven experience operating on large, complex construction projects
  • Ability to work independently while aligning with multiple stakeholders
Knowledge Base

Comprehensive understanding of OSHA regulations, construction safety best practices, and safety program management for large-scale projects.
