Looking for a hands‑on internship to build your administrative skills this summer? We’re seeking an organized and eager intern to support our department with a variety of administrative tasks. This role offers a chance to assist with office support duties such as organizing documents, managing communications, and helping with scheduling. You'll work under clear guidance and supervision, gaining valuable experience in a professional office setting.

- Perform entry‑level administrative support work for the department.
- Answer the telephone, evaluate requests, answer questions, route messages, and/or serve as receptionist or front desk assistant.
- Assist in maintaining confidential information and records.
- Assist in performing inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist in processing routine documents such as vouchers, personnel records, titles, or registrations.
- Assist with general warehousing duties such as stocking and issuing materials and supplies, maintaining records, and keeping warehouse areas organized.
- Disseminate information to the public.
- Maintain files, records, and logs.
- Maintain radio contact with field units and others.
- Make copies and distribute as instructed.
- Open, sort, and distribute mail.
- Perform preliminary research on assignments and gather pertinent data.
- Perform routine word processing duties and conduct quality checks of documents created.
- Run errands as required.
- Perform other job responsibilities as assigned.
- Must be a student in high school or another educational institution, or accepted into a college, university, or educational institution.
- Must be at least 16 years of age, a student currently enrolled in high school or any institution of higher education to include a trade/vocational school.
- Employees at least 18 years of age with a valid driver's license may be assigned driving duties and may use power tools.
- Subject to environmental conditions; protection from weather but not from temperature changes.
- Light work: lift up to 20 lbs at a time and frequently lift or carry objects up to 10 lbs.
- Sitting – prolonged periods of time.
- Standing – prolonged periods of time.
- Repetitive motion – substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
