Accounts Payable Technician

Overview

The J.R. Simplot Company is a diverse, privately held global food and agriculture company headquartered in Boise, Idaho. We are a true farm-to-table company with an integrated portfolio including food processing and food brands, phosphate mining, fertilizer manufacturing, farming, ranching and cattle production, and other enterprises related to agriculture.

Under general supervision, this role completes a variety of clerical/administrative activities supporting companywidedisbursement processing.

The Accounts Payable Technician position involves multiple dimensions and responsibilities including:

• Invoice Identification
• Physical Check Payment Processing
• Sporting and Scanning Physical Mailed-in Invoices
• General Maintenance of scanners and secured area
• Routing invoices to the correct Simplot Approver & Location
• Researching Invoice and Vendor history and payment method
• Matching and processing purchase orders to the correct receipts for payment

• High school diploma/GED required
• Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university preferred

3+ years related experience and/or training

• Possess a thorough understanding of assigned accounting related functions (i.e. A/P, A/R)
• Able to operate general business machines such as computer, and similar office equipment efficiently and accurately
• Perform routine mathematical calculations
• Able to accurately complete high volume of work within specified time frames
• Must be punctual and have regular attendance
• Works a hybrid schedule 4:1 (4 days in office, 1 day remote per week)
