Procurement Specialist

Our client, a leading aerospace and defense manufacturer, is actively hiring a Procurement Specialist to join their team in Bohemia, NY! This role will be hybrid and be on-site 4x a week.

* This is a 6 month W2 contract with benefits offered!

In this role, you will be responsible for all aspects of the relationship with a specific supplier within a commodity
. You will also direct and manage all schedules and purchase orders for that supplier account or the product family.

• Ensure products are delivered on time
• Handle the procurement processes, standards, and operational plans, including RFPs, negotiation preparations, and cost analysis
• Respond to supplier inquiries about order status, changes, or cancellations to ensure customer satisfaction
• Prepare purchase orders, approve payments, and negotiate prices to ensure the procurement process goes smoothly

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree
• 6+ years of experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point
• Prior experience in aerospace or manufacturing is a plus
