Senior Accounting Manager – Manufacturing – Ronkonkoma – Hybrid
A leading manufacturer and online retailer of health products is seeking a Senior Accounting Manager to lead financial reporting and operational accounting.
The Senior Accounting Manager will oversee the financial reporting function, ensuring accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting while supporting banking requirements, budgeting, and audit activities. The role includes responsibility for complex revenue recognition, inventory and cost accounting, and process improvements within a high‑SKU manufacturing environment. This role offers strong visibility to leadership and meaningful cross‑functional collaboration within a dynamic, high‑growth environment.
ResponsibilitiesLead preparation, review, and analysis of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare reporting packages and presentations for lending partners and leadership.
Ensure compliance with ASC 606 and U.S. GAAP, including multi‑channel revenue streams and variable consideration (discounts, rebates, promotions, returns).
Oversee COGS budgeting and forecasting, including production variance analysis, labor and overhead absorption, and raw material cost fluctuations.
Manage inventory accounting and analysis, including valuation, reserves, obsolescence, and working capital optimization.
Develop and present gross margin analysis highlighting impacts from price, volume, mix, and operational efficiency.
Support annual budgeting and serve as a key liaison during external audits.
Research and document technical accounting matters and new accounting guidance.
Analyze financial and operational metrics to provide actionable insights to leadership.
Strengthen internal controls and enhance reporting processes.
Leverage ERP tools (Net Suite) to improve reporting accuracy, automation, and data‑driven insights.
- Coordinate with cross‑functional teams to ensure timely and accurate financial information.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field, CPA with 5+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Manufacturing and/or consumer products experience strongly preferred.
- Advanced Excel proficiency and experience with ERP systems, particularly Net Suite.
This role is located in Ronkonkoma on a hybrid schedule. The base salary is expected to be between approximately $150K-$175K + bonus. Contact Erin at to apply today.
