Bookkeeper

Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Bohemia, New York. This is a contract position that begins as a one-month assignment, offering the potential for long-term employment. The ideal candidate will play a key role in assisting weekly payroll and managing bookkeeping operations.

Responsibilities:

- Maintain accurate financial records using Quick Books, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.

- Process accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.

- Reconcile bank statements to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial data.

- Support the general ledger by entering transactions and performing necessary adjustments.

- Handle payroll processing on a weekly basis.

- Assist with financial reporting and provide support during audits as needed.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline bookkeeping processes.

- Utilize Service Fusion for bookkeeping tasks, if applicable, to enhance operational efficiency.

- Address discrepancies and resolve issues related to financial transactions.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.

Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of bookkeeping experience in a detail-oriented environment.

- Proficiency in Quick Books for managing financial records and transactions.

- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.

- Experience with high-volume invoicing and maintaining organized records.

- Familiarity with payroll processing systems such as Accu Data is preferred.

- Ability to work onsite in Bohemia, New York.

- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

- Experience with Service Fusion is a plus, but not mandatory.
