Converting Senior Engineer WFO

Process Development Engineer - Bogor - WFO ()

Responsible for performing and coordinating improvements on machine types for capability, reduce reject rates caused by machine processes or operational errors, and standardize parameter settings to ensure production targets are achieved in line with Company objectives.

• Coordinate with related departments to ensure smooth execution of trial processes up to the issuance of PPS (Parameter Setting Guidelines).
• New product trials.
• New material/formulation trials (Cost Reduction/Material Alternative).
• Development/Improvement requests.
• Projects (machine expansion/retrofit).
• Ensure new product trials are conducted effectively and efficiently.
• Receiving trial forms (new products).
• Conduct meetings with Product Development.
• Socialize/discuss trial execution plans with operations/process teams.
• Prepare PPS KTF 9 and foreman checklists related to critical points to determine parameter settings, critical process steps, work procedures, and quality targets (properties, visual aspects, etc.).
• Collaborate with the Operations team (production requests/process development observations) to implement improvements where conditions can still be optimized to increase efficiency.

• Involved in quality improvement initiatives related to customer feedback/complaints (in coordination with QA).
• Participate in controlling and monitoring Quality Systems and Process Control.
• Implement improvements in quality control systems to achieve consistent results.

• Participate in commissioning activities.
• Involved in the initial production process.
• Prepare procedures, system controls, and PPS documentation.
• Ensure compliance with applicable Work Instructions (WI) and PPS according to each respective segment.

• Ensure safe working conditions and employee work habits in accordance with safety standards.
• Implement high safety and 5R standards across all production lines.
• Increase awareness and compliance with EHS implementation.
• Maintain high safety and 5R standards in work areas.
• Monitor environmental impact and electricity usage.
• Monitor 5R Index, LTI (Lost Time Injury), MTI (Medical Treatment Injury), and FAI (First Aid Injury).

• Ensure all activities are conducted in accordance with established procedures and company policies, and comply with applicable internal and external regulations.
• Implement and comply with applicable management systems, including: ISO 9001, FSSC 22000, ISO 14001, SMK3 (Occupational Health & Safety Management System), Halal Assurance System, and other relevant standards.

• Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in engineering/manufacturing, particularly in converting machines such as Tobacco, Straw, Cavitated, GO, Printing/Lamination, and Paper Lamination.
• Strong understanding of machine troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and machine parameter standardization.
• Proven experience in reducing reject rates and improving machine efficiency (OEE).
• Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement principles.
• Strong analytical skills in production data analysis and root cause analysis.
• Strong coordination and leadership skills in working with Production, Maintenance, and QA teams.
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Willing to work in a manufacturing environment and adapt to operational requirements.
