CNC Machinist - Nighshift

Overview

CNC Night Shift (40hours a week) Mon-Thurs
West Sussex

• Set up and operate CNC milling machines for high-precision component production.
• Program, edit, and optimize machining processes using Heidenhain controls.
• Work with advanced materials like carbon fibre to create components for industries such as motor sport.
• Perform quality checks to ensure components meet strict specifications and tolerances.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize machining processes.
• Use Visi machining CAM software for offline programming.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.

• Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise in CNC milling and 5-axis machining.
• Proficiency in programming and operating machines using Heidenhain controls.
• Strong understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T.
• Experience machining motor sport parts and working with carbon fiber components is advantageous.
• Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• CAM Offline programming is extremely important, the preferred programming is Visi Vero

The shift times are 10 hour shift Monday - Thursday. Start times are between 16:30 and 8:00am

• Competitive hourly rate of £18-£20 per hour + £5 shift allowance
• 20 days annual leave
• Overtime paid at 1.5x the standard rate
