Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join the Arun Neighbourhood Mental Health Team, based in Bognor Regis. This is a pivotal senior medical role within a well-established multidisciplinary community team delivering high-quality, person-centred care for adults with complex mental health needs.

As Consultant Psychiatrist, you will provide senior clinical leadership within the Arun NMHT, delivering specialist psychiatric assessment, diagnosis and treatment. You will act as Responsible Clinician for patients on Community Treatment Orders, contribute to Mental Health Act work, and support continuity of care across community and inpatient pathways. You will supervise junior medical colleagues, offer clinical guidance across the MDT, and work collaboratively with primary care, inpatient services, crisis teams and specialist services.

This is a senior, influential role where you will shape clinical practice, contribute to service development and support high-quality, safe and effective care.

You’ll be based in Bognor Regis, a coastal town in West Sussex offering seaside living, access to the South Downs and a strong quality of life, with rail links along the south coast and onward connections to London and Gatwick.

You will be a GMC-registered Consultant Psychiatrist (or within six months of CCT) with approved clinician status (or able to achieve) and Section 12 approval (or able to achieve). You will bring strong general adult psychiatry experience, excellent clinical and communication skills, and a collaborative, values-led approach to care. You will be motivated to work within community services, support MDT development and contribute to continuous improvement of local mental health provision.
