Administer nursing care to residents within an assigned unit, maintain accurate records of residents' conditions, medications, and treatments. Administer medications, monitor reactions, and supervise ancillary nursing staff based on residents’ needs and staff availability. Accompany physicians on rounds to assist with resident care inquiries and instructions.

• Maintain a safe, supportive environment respecting resident rights at all times.
• Monitor residents within state licensure regulations; supervise nursing assistants where permitted.
• Assist in developing and updating care plans based on resident needs and condition changes.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; document and review for accuracy and compliance.
• Monitor responses to care plans, be aware of medication interactions, and report issues to supervisors.
• Count controlled substances with the outgoing nurse, secure and reconcile during shifts.
• Keep the medication supply area clean, organized, and secure, following regulations and policies.
• Assist with discharge processes related to medications and treatments.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and emergency procedures to ensure safety.
• Document all nursing care and resident observations thoroughly.
• Participate in ongoing training to stay current with healthcare trends and skills.
