About The Bloom School:
The Bloom School is a nonprofit, inclusive preschool serving children ages 3–6, including typically developing children and children with disabilities. The school operates with intentionally small class sizes (maximum 10 students) and a 5:1 student-to-staff ratio. Each classroom is led by a teacher dually certified in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, supported by a paraprofessional.
The Bloom School utilizes an indoor/outdoor learning model and integrates onsite therapy services to provide a collaborative, whole-child approach. Psycho-educational evaluations are offered onsite to support timely learning and developmental assessments.
Position Overview:The Preschool Administrator provides strategic, instructional, and operational leadership to ensure excellence in inclusive education, therapy integration, regulatory compliance, enrollment growth, and financial stewardship. This role safeguards the integrity of The Bloom School’s mission while ensuring sustainable operations and high-quality outcomes for students and families.
The Administrator works closely with the Executive Director, therapy providers, teaching staff, and the Board of Directors to advance the school’s impact within the community.
Primary Responsibilities:Instructional & Inclusion Leadership:
- Oversee implementation of the school’s indoor/outdoor, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Texas early learning standards.
- Ensure high-fidelity inclusive practices across all classrooms.
- Monitor student progress and ensure alignment between educational plans and therapeutic goals.
- Support effective collaboration between teachers and onsite therapy providers (speech, occupational, physical therapy, as applicable).
- Conduct regular classroom observations and provide coaching to maintain instructional excellence.
- Coordinate scheduling and integration of onsite therapy services within the school day.
- Oversee systems that ensure documentation compliance for therapy services delivered onsite.
- Support coordination of psycho educational evaluations conducted at The Bloom School.
- Ensure evaluation results inform classroom instruction and individualized supports.
- Maintain compliance with Texas Health and Human Services Child Care Licensing requirements.
- Ensure adherence to health, safety, supervision, and emergency preparedness protocols.
- Maintain accurate student and staff records in accordance with FERPA and state regulations.
- Support nonprofit governance requirements and reporting consistent with 501(c)(3) status.
- Recruit, hire, and supervise teachers and paraprofessionals.
- Ensure teachers maintain dual certification requirements.
- Conduct formal performance evaluations and provide structured coaching.
- Develop ongoing professional development focused on inclusive education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Foster a mission-driven, collaborative school culture.
- Oversee admissions, enrollment processes, and retention strategies.
- Conduct school tours and represent The Bloom School’s inclusive mission to prospective families.
- Develop strong communication systems to support family engagement.
- Address parent concerns professionally and proactively.
- Develop and manage the annual operating budget in collaboration with the Executive Director and Board.
- Monitor tuition revenue, scholarships, fundraising allocations, and grant funds.
- Oversee coordination of billing processes related to tuition and onsite therapy services.
- Ensure responsible stewardship of nonprofit resources.
- Build partnerships with local pediatric providers, community organizations, and referral sources.
- Represent The Bloom School at community events and professional forums.
- Support strategic growth initiatives that expand access to inclusive early education.
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related field required.
- Master’s degree preferred.
