Dutiesand Responsibilities
- Work closely with supervisor and department head to determine the quantity of food purchased and prepared for daily business with a view to exercise maximum control on wastage and achieve optimum profitability.
- Check that all refrigerators are cleaned and set‑up the work station for the day.
- Involve stewarding department in general cleanliness, sanitation and staff personal cleanliness and hygiene.
- Ensure that the entire product has been delivered and inform supervisor of any short delivery; also check if any products are not of the required standard of quality.
- Coach and inform staff on any new menu, new method, special events and follow up on any problems or situations that need improvement.
- Take part in food storage (quality and quantity controls) when required.
- Ensure that all buffets are well presented.
- Maintain high presentation standards for food and buffets, together with the Head Baker.
- Responsible for planning, directing, controlling, and coordination.
- Responsible for maintenance and cleaning in the respective section.
- Good knowledge of the English language and ideally having worked or lived in Turkey and being familiar with the local market.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule and holidays.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in a luxury environment.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time.
