We are seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to oversee daily field operations for a large‑scale water metering programme across Cornwall. The successful candidate will manage multiple installation teams, ensure compliance with safety and street works regulations, and maintain high standards of quality and customer service. Previous experience within the water industry is essential.

Key Responsibilities Operational Supervision
  • Oversee day‑to‑day activities of metering installation teams across multiple locations.
  • Coordinate schedules, allocate resources, and ensure efficient delivery of installation and replacement works.
  • Carry out site audits to verify workmanship, compliance, and productivity.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Ensure all works comply with NRSWA (Streetworks)
  • Conduct toolbox talks, safety briefings, and risk assessments.
  • Maintain accurate site records, permits, and documentation.
Stakeholder & Customer Liaison
  • Act as the key point of contact between field teams, project managers, and the client.
  • Support customer‑facing teams in resolving access issues, complaints, or escalations.
  • Communicate project updates, risks, and progress reports clearly and professionally.
Quality Assurance & Performance
  • Check that installations meet technical standards and water company specifications.
  • Monitor team performance, productivity, and KPI achievement.
  • Support training, mentoring, and performance management of operatives.
Required Experience & Qualifications
  • Previous experience in the water industry (metering, leakage, networks, or similar).
  • Valid Streetworks (NRSWA)
  • Proven experience supervising field-based teams in a utilities, construction, or civils environment.
  • Strong understanding of health & safety regulations and safe digging practices.
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Full UK driving licence.
