We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Senior Practitioner to join our multidisciplinary EIP team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a service that is committed to evidence-based practice and innovation.
As a Band 6 Senior Practitioner, you will:
- Provide specialist assessment, care planning, and interventions for individuals aged 14-65 experiencing first episode psychosis.
- Work collaboratively with service users, families, and carers to promote recovery, resilience and instil hope.
- Deliver psychosocial interventions, be a lead health care professional, and risk management in line with NICE guidelines.
- Contribute to service development and uphold the standards required for accreditation.
- Offer clinical leadership and supervision to junior staff and students.
To be responsible for the assessment of care needs and clinical management of a defined caseload within the Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust (CFT) Mental Health Service.
To carry continuing responsibility for the development, implementation and evaluation of programmes of care, utilising the care co-ordination system.
To develop the interface between primary and secondary care services so the patients/carers are offered focused and co-ordinated packages of care that are appropriate to their needs.
This is a community-based role that requires frequent travel to various locations throughout the county including areas that may not be accessible by public transportation. Successful candidates will need to demonstrate how they will manage these travel requirements.

Person Specification Education and Qualifications- Current professional registration
- Evidence of post qualification basic training
- Teaching in clinical practice
- Extensive experience of working with mental health patients
- Demonstrate clinical leadership skills
- Ability to supervise staff, demonstrating the highest clinical standards
- Facilitating self-help groups and carers group
- Knowledge around suicide awareness and prevention and the ability to support patients
