Join to apply for the VP of Sales role at By Ver Tek . We are seeking a dynamic and results‑driven Vice President of Sales to provide strategic sales leadership, define revenue growth strategies, expand market share, and oversee all sales operations company‑wide. In this role, the individual will be responsible for building and maintaining high‑level client relationships with key decision‑makers, and for aligning sales and marketing resources to educate the market on the technical and business benefits of our fiber build construction solutions.
The ideal candidate will be a proactive, self‑motivated leader with a deep strategic understanding of the fiber optic infrastructure market and a proven track record in sales leadership.
- Strategic Planning and Execution:
Develop and execute comprehensive sales strategies and plans that align with the company's overall business objectives. - Business Development and Market Expansion:
Identify and target potential new markets and clients for our fiber build construction solutions. - Relationship Management:
Cultivate and maintain strong, long‑term relationships with key new and existing clients and strategic partners to ensure high levels of customer and prospect satisfaction. - Sales Operations and Forecasting:
Oversee the entire sales pipeline and operations, including budgeting, resource allocation, and providing accurate sales forecasts and performance reports to executive leadership. - Cross‑functional
Collaboration:
Work closely with the C‑level executives in the human resources, marketing, finance, and operations departments to ensure seamless go‑to‑market strategies that drive the company’s goals and objectives.
- Education:
Bachelor's degree is required. An MBA or an advanced degree in a relevant field is a plus. - Experience:
Proven track record in outside sales, business development, preferably within the telecommunications or fiber optics construction industry. - Technical Knowledge:
Solid understanding of fiber optic technology, outside plant infrastructure (e.g., underground/aerial) and networking and related products.
- Leadership and Team Management:
Ability to inspire, mentor and build a high‑performing sales function with the company. - Strategic Thinking and Analytical
Skills:
Capable of translating complex market data and trends into actionable sales strategies. - Communication and Negotiation:
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with experience in making executive‑level presentations and participating in contract negotiations. - Technical and Digital Proficiency:
Expert proficiency with CRM platforms (e.g., Pipedrive), Microsoft Office and Apple hardware (e.g., Macs, iPad and iPhone). - Business Acumen:
Strong financial acumen, including revenue modeling. - Adaptability:
Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment and adapt strategies based on evolving market conditions and customer needs.
