Greenskeeper​/Landscaping Manager Deep Industry

Overview

The Seasonal Manager / Assistant Greenskeeper plays a hands-on leadership role in the day-to-day care, presentation, and performance of turf, landscaped areas, and exterior grounds. This position supports the Head Greenskeeper or Grounds Manager by overseeing crews, maintaining quality standards, operating and managing equipment, and ensuring landscapes and turf meet high aesthetic and performance expectations throughout the season.

This is a working leadership role requiring a strong understanding of lawns and turf, basic horticulture, equipment operation, quality control, and personnel management
.

Turf & Landscape Management

• Assist with daily and weekly turf maintenance including mowing, edging, trimming, fertilization, and irrigation monitoring
• Support plant health care, including basic horticulture practices, pest and disease awareness, and seasonal care
• Monitor turf quality and overall property appearance, addressing issues proactively

Equipment & Machinery

• Operate and oversee use of landscape and turf equipment (mowers, trimmers, blowers, utility vehicles, etc.)
• Perform or coordinate basic equipment inspections, cleaning, and preventative maintenance
• Identify equipment issues and communicate repair needs

Quality Control

• Ensure all work meets established quality, safety, and presentation standards
• Conduct regular site walkthroughs to identify deficiencies and corrective actions
• Maintain consistency across all maintained areas

Personnel & Crew Leadership

• Assist in supervising seasonal staff and crew members
• Assign daily tasks, manage workflows, and ensure crews are productive and aligned
• Provide on-the-job coaching, training, and feedback
• Promote safe work practices and professional conduct

Operations & Communication

• Support scheduling and execution of daily and seasonal work plans
• Communicate progress, issues, and recommendations to the Head Greenskeeper or Manager
• Assist with inventory tracking of materials, supplies, and chemicals as needed

• Working knowledge of lawns, turf care, and basic horticulture
• Experience operating landscape or turf equipment
• Tree Trimming
• Machine Maintenance
• Strong attention to detail and quality standards
• Basic leadership or crew supervision experience
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
• Reliable, organized, and safety-minded

• Golf course, sports turf, or high-end landscape experience
• Familiarity with irrigation systems and water management
• Tree Trimming
• Basic understanding of fertilizers, soil health, and plant care
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Ability to safely operate equipment and tools
