Position Summary

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) supports providers in delivering high-quality patient care in a busy Ear, Nose, and Throat (ENT) outpatient clinic. This role is responsible for assisting with clinical procedures, patient intake, documentation, and coordination of care to ensure an excellent patient experience.

• Perform patient intake including vital signs, medical history, and medication reconciliation.
• Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and minor in-office treatments.
• Assist ENT physicians and audiologists with clinical procedures such as:
  • Ear cleanings and irrigations
  • Allergy testing and injections
  • Nasal endoscopy preparation
  • Post-operative follow-up care

• Accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
• Communicate patient concerns, symptoms, and clinical updates to providers.
• Provide patient education regarding medications, treatments, and post-procedure instructions.

• Administer medications and injections as ordered (within LPN scope of practice).
• Monitor patients for adverse reactions, especially during allergy immunotherapy.
• Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of medications and supplies.

• Assist with scheduling follow-up appointments and coordinating referrals.
• Support pre-authorizations for ENT-related procedures or testing.
• Collaborate with front office staff to ensure smooth patient flow.

• Maintain a clean and safe clinical environment.
• Sterilize instruments and follow infection prevention protocols.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and clinic policies.

• Current LPN license in the state of practice.
• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills.
