The Pool Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (Pool DPC RN) is a licensed professional who demonstrates mastery of core competencies—assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organization, accountability, leadership, and service—to deliver patient‑family centered care in a culturally competent manner. Responsibilities include using evidence‑based practice standards of quality, safety and service.

Estimated pay range: $45.00 per hour (shift dependent).

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (or Bachelor’s degree).
• Registered Nurse license.
• 18 months of acute Medical Surgical/Orthopedics experience.
• BLS required.

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• ONS/ONCC Chemotherapy Immunotherapy Certificate
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non‑leadership role.
• RNs hired after those dates with an Associate’s degree must complete a BSN within 5 years of hire.
• RN must complete a preceptor class within 12 months of attaining competence.
• Required to work minimum shift, including weekend and holiday requirements as per nursing staffing policy.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, ONS-Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Provider Card) may be required by department standard.

Minimum required experience: 18 months of acute Medical Surgical/Orthopedic care.
