DescriptionThe Direct Patient Care Registered Nurse (DPC RN) is a licensed professional able to demonstrate mastery of core competencies: assessment, technical skills, communication, critical thinking, interpersonal skills, planning, intervention, evaluation, flexibility, organizational skills, professional accountability, leadership, and service. The DPC RN delivers patient-family centered care in a culturally competent manner, utilizing and promoting evidence-based practice standards of quality, safety, and service.
Estimated pay range for this position is $42.64 - $55.00 per hour depending on experience.
- Associate’s degree
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
- Registered Nurse (RN)
- Associate’s degree in Nursing or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing
- RNs hired prior to 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) are not required to have a BSN to continue in their non-leadership role as an RN.
- RNs hired after 2/1/2012 (South), 10/1/2017 (Bethesda), 10/1/2023 (Boca), 7/1/2018 (Fishermen’s) with an Associate’s degree will have five years from their date of hire to complete the BSN degree.
- RN must complete a preceptor class within twelve months of being deemed competent by department leadership for independent practice.
- As per department standard any of the following may be required: ACLS, BLS.
Three years circulating and/or scrubbing experience in an acute Operating Room setting. BLS and ACLS required. Candidates will be required to take call and report within 30 minutes of call time. Proficient in providing care to patients with vascular disease and disorders. Proficient in vascular procedures, both endovascular and open vascular surgeries.
