Overview:
The Clinical Partner (CP) provides basic technical nursing skills (deemed competent) and delegated tasks under the direction and/or supervision of the registered nurse in accordance with the Florida Nurse Practice Act and BHSF policy. The CP collaborates with the RN to provide safe, patient-centered care. Examples of activities that cannot be delegated include assessment and evaluation of the impact of interventions on patient care.
- Provide basic nursing skills and delegated tasks under RN supervision (e.g., wound care, discontinuing a saline lock, discontinuing a Foley catheter).
- Collaborate with the assigned RN to deliver safe, high-quality patient care in Telemetry PCU.
- Degrees:
High School, GED, certificate, training, or equivalent experience. - Licenses &
Certifications:
Licensed Practical Nurse;
Basic Life Support;
Certified Nursing Assistant. - Additional Qualifications:
CNA or LPN license required; clinical partners hired before 10/1/20 have two years to obtain Florida CNA licensure; 1 year of experience preferred; prior CNA or LPN experience in an acute care Florida facility preferred.
Salary:
Estimated pay range $16.04 - $20.85 per hour, depending on experience.
