The Opportunity

We are seeking a sophisticated and operationally-minded Director of Accounting to oversee the financial infrastructure of a diverse portfolio of subsidiaries. Based in Boca Raton, this leadership role is designed for a professional who thrives in complex, multi-entity environments and possesses the technical rigor to consolidate diverse financial streams into a unified corporate vision.

As the Director of Accounting, you will serve as the primary architect of our financial reporting, internal controls, and consolidation processes. You will lead a high-performing team to ensure that each subsidiary operates with fiscal discipline while maintaining total alignment with corporate GAAP standards. This is a high-visibility role that partners directly with executive leadership to provide the clarity and transparency needed to drive our portfolio’s expansion.

Core Responsibilities

1. Multi-Entity Consolidation & Reporting

  • Corporate Consolidations: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation of financial results across all subsidiaries, ensuring the elimination of intercompany transactions and total accuracy in the consolidated package.

  • Reporting Excellence: Deliver high-level financial reporting for the executive team and board of directors, translating complex subsidiary data into actionable business intelligence.

  • Standardization: Establish and enforce uniform accounting policies and charts of accounts across all portfolio companies to ensure consistency and comparability.

2. Subsidiary Stewardship & Oversight

  • Financial Governance: Oversee the accounting functions of various subsidiaries, providing mentorship and technical guidance to local accounting leads.

  • Unit Economics: Analyze the profitability and cash flow of individual subsidiaries, identifying trends and risks that require strategic intervention.

  • Internal Controls: Design and implement a robust internal control framework tailored to a multi-entity structure to mitigate risk and safeguard corporate assets.

3. Strategic Financial Operations

  • ERP Leadership: Optimize the corporate ERP environment (e.g., Net Suite, Sage Intacct, or Oracle) to support multi-entity reporting and automated consolidations.

  • Audit & Tax Coordination: Manage the annual corporate audit and act as the primary liaison for external auditors and tax advisors across all subsidiary entities.

  • M&A Integration: Lead the financial onboarding and integration of new acquisitions, ensuring a seamless transition into the corporate reporting structure.

4. Leadership & Mentorship

  • Team Development: Build and lead a centralized corporate accounting team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, integrity, and continuous improvement.

  • Professional Guidance: Serve as the "technical expert" for the organization on complex accounting matters, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, and equity transactions.

The Ideal Profile

  • Professional

    Experience:

10+ years of progressive accounting leadership, with at least 4 years in a Director-level role managing multi-entity structures or parent-subsidiary relationships.

  • Technical Mastery: Deep proficiency in US GAAP and a proven track record of managing complex consolidations and intercompany eliminations.

  • Education & Credentials: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required;
    Active CPA is mandatory.

  • Systems Fluency: Advanced experience with multi-entity ERP systems and business intelligence (BI) tools.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to articulate financial results to non-financial stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
