General Manager, Licensed Cosmetologist
Madison Reed invites entrepreneurial leaders to mentor a diverse team of Shift Leads, Client Support Specialists, Colorists, and Assistant Colorists. The role delivers exceptional guest services, drives business growth, and embodies our values of Love, Joy, Trust, Courage, and Responsibility.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate leadership to provide a top‑tier employee and guest experience aligned with our values.
- Lead by example through sales and service behaviors, resolving guest service issues.
- Ensure all business aspects are staffed and resourced, including front‑of‑house operations, SOP adherence, retail orders, bookings, services, and memberships.
- Master all services at the Madison Reed Hair Color Bar, stepping in behind the chair as needed.
- Support district operations by training new managers, remote support, or onsite visits.
- Achieve monthly sales goals and key performance indicators—retail sales, services, memberships.
- Maintain company standards for cleanliness, merchandising, inventory, and asset security.
- Demonstrate mastery of Madison Reed systems, policies, processes, and procedures.
- Coach and develop team members to align talents with responsibilities.
- Own recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, performance management, coaching, talent development, and training of all team members.
- Manage employee schedules based on forecasts, business needs, local labor laws, budgets, breaks, and meals.
- Active cosmetology license in the state of application.
- 2+ years of salon and retail experience.
- 2+ years of operational management experience.
- 2+ years supervising team members, hiring, training, and scheduling.
- Strong technical proficiency as a colorist.
- Proven track record of exceeding key operational and performance metrics.
- Fluency in English.
Regularly stand, walk, and bend for four hours or more, manipulates fingers and hands, reach wrists and arms, move up to ten pounds; occasionally sit, kneel, stoop, crouch, and lift, push, pull up to ten pounds. Communicate regularly with guests via ongoing conversations and consultations.
