Project Manager, IT Project Manager

Job Description ESSENTIAL:

• Assists and manages enterprise projects throughout the project phases:
  Initiation, Planning, Execution, Control and Closing.
• Interfaces between the Office of Information Technology (OIT) and university functional areas.
• Keeps all stakeholders engaged and current of project statuses, risks, and changes.
• Manages requirements, scope, priorities, and plans out all aspects of projects including testing.
• Leads interactions with functional leaders, end users, vendors, management, and developers with the purpose of gaining a shared understanding of project requirements, expectations, and deliverables.
• Works independently on mission critical, complex, university level, cross unit/division projects.
• Communicates in written and oral form with management, peers, functional experts, and leadership.
• Maintains project plans, work breakdown structure, RACI charts, project timeline and budgets.
• Refines, and follows established Project Manager and Business Analyst Practices.
• Works with agile teams and their methodologies where applicable.
• Alongside the Associate Director of the VMO, works on establishing and maintaining project plan templates, closeout templates, requirement gathering templates and ensures that all OIT projects follow a similar standard when working through the five phases of project management.
