Senior Vice President Finance

Mas Tec — Advanced Technologies, Delray, Florida (Energy Solutions Region) — We are seeking an experienced Senior Vice President of Finance to serve as a key business leader within the Mastec Energy Solutions (MES) Region, a $1B+ region comprised of around 5,000 employees. This high‑profile role reports directly to the Power Delivery CFO with a dotted line to the EVP of MES Operations.

The SVP will provide direct support to the MES Region Leadership Team as a strategic partner, providing financial analysis and business insight, guiding planning and decision‑making, and driving execution as the organization strives to meet or exceed short‑ and longer‑term strategic goals.

Key responsibilities include partnering with the CFO to build a shared service model, establishing controls, overseeing integration and optimization initiatives, developing and presenting financial results and projections, executing the segment strategic plan, fostering a culture of transparency and accountability, and leading budgeting, forecasting, and operational reporting across the region.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the EVP‑MES Region Operations and broader Leadership Team, providing timely and accurate data, financial analysis, and insight.
  • Partner with the CFO to build a shared service model, establish controls, and drive integration and business improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and lead the preparation and explanation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results, projections, variances, and trend analysis.
  • Collaborate with leaders to drive development of the segment strategic plan and execute short, mid, and longer‑term goals in alignment with Power Delivery’s overall strategy.
  • Build strong relationships and communication throughout the Finance organization, fostering a culture of transparency, teamwork, and accountability.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes, continually improving modeling and planning tools.
Qualifications
  • BS in Finance, Accounting, or Business Management; MBA, MS, and/or CPA preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience, with a minimum of 5 years supporting a field‑based business; experience in energy or construction industry preferred.
  • Working knowledge of financial reporting requirements, systems, and external audits, internal controls, and compliance issues.
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle, Vista, JD Edwards or similar ERP systems; background coordinating with IT to manage, upgrade, optimize, and/or implement systems.
  • Strong record of building capable, committed, and highly effective teams.
  • Proven ability to lead teams through periods of extreme change and ambiguity.
