Associate Product Manager:
America's Office of the CTO – Senior The opportunity

We’re seeking an Associate Product Manager with strong technical fluency who can operate at the intersection of client needs, business strategy, and engineering execution. This role is responsible for helping define the “why” and “what” of our products and platforms while also contributing to shaping the “how” by partnering closely with engineering, architecture, and design; someone who can both define market‑driven roadmaps and collaborate deeply with engineering on technical specs, data flows, and architecture discussions.

This role requires a balance of strategic thinking, user empathy, and hands‑on execution.

As an Associate Product Manager, this individual will support the development of OCTO products and platforms, working closely with a seasoned Product Manager and supporting various activities including product discovery, managing the backlog, gathering user feedback, and coordinating across teams. This is a great opportunity to grow into a seasoned Product Manager role while making immediate contributions and will provide opportunities to drive the end‑to‑end development as the individual progresses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support backlog grooming, user story writing, and sprint planning.
  • Coordinate with engineering and design on feature development and testing.
  • Help gather and synthesize user feedback for ongoing product improvement.
  • Track product metrics and assist with reporting and documentation.
  • Contribute to internal documentation and tooling improvements.
  • Participate in user research and product discovery sessions.
  • Document and continue to refine requirements – both business and technical.
To qualify for the role you must have
  • 3+ years of product management work experience with a proven track record of shipping products.
  • Demonstrated experience in a product management role, preferably with a focus on AI solutions or technology‑driven products.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, system design, and modern tech stacks (APIs, cloud platforms, data pipelines).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive product decisions and measure success.
  • Familiarity with agile methodologies and product management tools.
  • Familiarity with agentic frameworks.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with cross‑functional teams and drive alignment on product priorities.
  • Passion for innovation and a deep understanding of market trends in AI and technology.
Ideally you will also have
  • Experience in AI/ML, LLMs, Agentic strategies, SaaS, and product management tools such as ADO, JIRA, Trello, or similar systems.
  • Familiarity with product management frameworks (JTBD, RICE, OKRs, Lean, Agile).
