UNIX​/Linux Systems Administrator

ASSYST is seeking an experienced UNIX/Linux Systems Administrator with 10+ years of hands‑on experience supporting large‑scale Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL 8/9) environments. The role focuses on operational support, system maintenance, automation, security compliance and performance optimization across approximately 300 Linux servers in a 24x7 enterprise environment.

• Administer, maintain and support enterprise Linux systems (RHEL 8/9)
• Perform Linux server builds, custom configurations and OS patching
• Execute quarterly Red Hat patching to meet PCI and security compliance requirements
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues and resolve incidents in a timely manner
• Remediate OS security vulnerabilities identified through regular audits
• Develop and maintain automation using Ansible playbooks
• Manage and upgrade Ansible Automation Platform and Red Hat Satellite 6
• Provide performance tuning support for Oracle database servers
• Support server migrations and infrastructure changes
• Monitor Linux environments using Solar Winds
• Participate in rotating 24x7 on‑call Unix/Linux support
• Maintain technical documentation and interface with IT and business stakeholders

• Strong TCP/IP networking knowledge in firewalled environments
