SummaryAn Assistant F&B Operations Manager (Beverage) is responsible for supporting the overall beverage operations of a hospitality venue, such as a hotel, resort, cruise ship, or restaurant group. Their role centers on ensuring that the beverage program runs smoothly, meets quality standards, and delivers a strong guest experience while also supporting financial and operational goals.
They oversee daily beverage service across outlets like bars, lounges, and banquet areas, making sure staff are coordinated and service is efficient. They maintain high standards of drink preparation, presentation, and compliance with food safety and alcohol regulations. A key part of the role is guest interaction—handling inquiries, resolving complaints, and ensuring that customers leave satisfied.
On the financial side, they assist with budgeting, cost control, and inventory management, monitoring sales and profitability to help maximize revenue. They also play a leadership role by training, scheduling, and supervising beverage staff, motivating the team, and fostering good communication. Another important responsibility is contributing to menu and product development, working with senior managers and mixologists to design beverage offerings, introduce new products, and keep the selection aligned with current trends.
In short, the Assistant Beverage Manager acts as the link between frontline staff and senior management, balancing operational efficiency with guest satisfaction, financial oversight, and creative input into the beverage program.
