Medical Assistant
The medical assistant will perform quality team-based patient care under the direct supervision of a clinician, handling both clinical and administrative functions to promote health and wellness in a safe and friendly environment. The role supports clinicians and care management teams in assessing, maintaining chronic disease management, examining, and treating the patient population. Additionally, the medical assistant is responsible for performing all laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
Responsibilities- Provide quality patient care under clinician supervision.
- Support clinicians in chronic disease management, examination, and treatment of patients.
- Perform laboratory testing procedures and phlebotomy, including venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
- Take manual vitals and document accurately.
- Communicate effectively with patients, staff, and the public.
- Assess emergencies and act accordingly.
- Maintain flexible work schedule and ability to float between locations.

- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Active driver's license
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- 2 years' experience within clinic/back office healthcare setting
- Medical Assistant diploma or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or 3 years' MA experience
- Experience with Tri Med EMR preferred
- Knowledge of laboratory quality control requirements
- Knowledge of universal precaution procedures in medical safety practices
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships
- Independent, responsible, and organized
This position is 100% onsite in a pediatric clinic.
Shift hours are Mondays, Tuesdays, and Fridays from 12pm to 5pm, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 12pm to 7pm, and every other Saturday from 8am to 12pm.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Boca Raton, FL.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $25000.00 - $30000.00/yr.
