DescriptionThe Pharmacy Technician prepares and distributes under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist. These duties include but are not limited to: preparing non-hazardous and hazardous IV admixtures, refilling automated dispensing cabinets (ADC), filling and labeling medications, answering the telephone and routing the call as appropriate, delivering medications to patients care areas, maintaining medication stock levels, maintaining proper storage of medications to ensure safe and cost effective pharmaceutical care services, maintains general pharmacy organization and cleanliness and provides exceptional customer service.
Proficient in basic computer skills and appropriately uses information systems, technology and automation to complete the assigned task.
Degrees:
- High School, Cert, GED, Trn, Exper.
Licenses & Certifications
- Registered Pharmacy Technician.
Additional Qualifications
- Hospital experience preferred which may include internship experience.
Minimum
Required Experience:
1 year preferred.
