The pharmacy technician prepares and distributes medications under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist.

Responsibilities include:

• Filling and labeling medications.
• Refilling Pyxis.
• Delivering medications to patient care areas.
• Preparing IV admixture solutions.
• Answering telephone calls and directing calls to appropriate staff.
• Maintaining medication stock levels and proper storage to ensure safe and cost‑effective pharmaceutical services.
• Using basic computer skills, information systems, technology, and automation to complete assigned tasks.

Estimated pay range: $17.79 - $26.03 per hour, depending on experience.

• High School, Certificate, GED, Training, Experience.

• Registered Pharmacy Technician.
• NHA Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• PTCB Certified Pharmacy Technician.

• 2 years of hospital pharmacy experience (or equivalent setting).
• Sterile products preparation experience or medication history experience or specialty area experience.
• Pediatrics; PTCB or ICPT Certification required.
