A mid-cap, profitable, and rapidly growing industry-leading organization is seeking a Corporate Controller to support the CEO in overseeing the full accounting and finance function. This strategic finance leader will be responsible for managing financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting and forecasting, and compliance, while partnering closely with the executive team to drive business strategy and maintain the overall financial health of the company.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, leadership capability, and a proactive mindset to help scale operations and support continued growth and performance.

Major Responsibilities

Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties will be assigned on an as needed basis.

  • Manage the financial and accounting activities of the company.
  • Maintain an environment with strong internal controls.
  • Directs the monthly “close” and corresponding financial reports in full compliance with GAAP.
  • Manage department staff members in a manner that is supportive and ensures a high performing team culture.
  • Ensure a proper transition from Net Suite to Workday.
  • Ensure Workday is utilized in a manner that is most efficient for the business.
  • Prepare for our annual audit and work with outside auditors to ensure an efficient audit with a clean letter of opinion.
  • Work with outside CPA firm on tax return items.
  • Implement and manage financial and non-financial reporting to provide greater insights at all levels of the business to a variety of internal constituencies.
  • Responsible for banking relationships and cash management.
  • Manage billing and collections to ensure timely invoicing as well as minimize AR days outstanding.
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly board package including reporting on covenant requirements.
  • Development of company budgets and performance tracking against budgets monthly.
  • Work with departmental leaders and other team members to ensure the finance department is providing a high level of support throughout the business.
  • Manage vendor relationships that impact our accounting and financial operations.
  • Possess an entrepreneurial and creative mindset allowing one to add value throughout the business.
  • A dedication to producing excellent work that is bullet proof.
  • Inquisitiveness to seek to understand the business and ensure that processes and reporting are setup to support various business units efficiently and provide maximum value.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Minimum 10+ years corporate accounting experience.
  • Must have meaningful Workday or similar ERP implementation experience.
  • An understanding of and proven ability to utilize technology to simplify or automate many of the departmental functions and reporting responsibilities.
  • Extensive experience in developing and producing financial reports at the corporate, departmental, client and program level.
  • Is an experienced manager, able to coach and develop a high performing team.
  • Treats colleagues, subordinates and customers with respect and kindness.
  • Operates with the highest level of integrity and ethical behavior.
  • CPA strongly preferred.
