Senior Hardware Design Engineer

PEC is an international technology supplier, committed to enable the production of green batteries for a Blue Planet. We are looking for a Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is based at our Malaysian Office, located in Butterworth. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large scale battery factories in Europe, Asia and the United States.

As a Senior Hardware Engineer within one of our Cross-Functional Teams, you will support the development of hardware for various machines and assist throughout the project lifecycle—from requirements gathering to testing and delivery. More specifically, you will:

• Contribute to the design and testing of hardware components under the guidance of senior engineers
• Assist in project tasks to help ensure deadlines, quality, and technical objectives are achieved
• Support in analyzing design constraints (performance, size, power, cost) to help identify effective hardware solutions
• Assist in creating schematic designs and PCB layouts using Altium Designer
• Participate in prototyping, validation, and debugging of hardware systems
• Collaborate with global R&D team members and suppliers to support development and manufacturing efforts
• Report to the Design Lead

• Proficiency in CAD Software (Altium) is a plus
• Experience with PCB design, analogue and digital techniques
• Excellent communication skills in English
• The flexibility to travel abroad for trainings and short missions
