Dir. of Special Projects & UAS Operations for Caulfield & Wheeler, Inc (CWI). Certified Survey Technician I. FAU Engineering & Geomatics ‘27. FAA… Responsibilities

• Performs preparation for supervising and coordinating field crews and office survey personnel;
• Performs surveying activities and is responsible for the supervision and review of technical services and work products that support land surveys and construction projects;
• Perform work duties that include public contact concerning survey activities;
• Signs and seals documents as a Florida Professional Surveyor and Mapper in responsible charge (if licensed).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Knowledge of the practice of land surveying and the laws and Florida Statutes pertaining to land surveying;
• Knowledge of office computer and data processing and practices;
• Knowledge of project management;
• Skill in the use of land surveying instruments and equipment;
• Skill in identifying discrepancies between drawings and specifications;
• Ability to present clear and concise reports
• Ability to supervise and lead subordinates to meet organizational goals, objectives, and deadlines;

Qualifications

• State of Florida PLS or PSM License preferred, but not required.
• Surveying Experience required.
• Pay scale according to knowledge and ability.
• Must be responsible and on time.
• A valid Florida driver’s license is required.
• At least 40 hours a week, with overtime possible. Weekend work when necessary.
• Proficient in electronic survey equipment
• A mandatory drug test is required.
