* Summary of Responsibilities:

*** Identify and apply relevant educational research-based instructional strategies in order to develop engaging and differentiated lessons, assignments and assessments.
* Utilize relevant technology and resources for optimal engagement and differentiation.
* Provide timely, appropriate, and actionable feedback to students.
* Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use information to adjust teaching strategies.
* Maintain and utilize accurate and comprehensive documentation and evidence of students' progress and development.
* Support student science events and competitions, as needed.
* Support student development of science fair projects.
* Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
* Manage student behavior through positive behavior interventions and support.
* Support social-emotional strategies to facilitate student development in self and social awareness and responsible decision-making.
* Participate and engage in professional learning that supports professional growth and collaboration with colleagues.
* Participate in lab school initiatives that inform instructional practices, instructional materials and resources.
* Engage in research activities to further the school’s mission and to generate advancements in science education and in teaching and learning.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Minimum Qualifications:

* • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution at the time of application.

• Holds a valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or Statement of Eligibility in Middle Grades Science 5-9.
