As an Architectural Job Captain at LH ArchitectsThis role is designed for a highly organized, Revit strong professional who will start under a Project Manager and take ownership of day to day project documentation and coordination. You will help drive the drawing set, support consultant integration, and keep the model and deliverables clean and on track. As you grow, you will gain more client exposure and leadership responsibility, with the goal of progressing into a Project Manager role.
Responsibilities- Support project teams through SD, DD, and CDs, with exposure to permitting and construction administration
- Build, maintain, and coordinate Revit models and drawing sets with strong organization and sheet standards
- Develop plans, elevations, building sections, wall sections, and details with constructability in mind
- Coordinate with consultants and integrate information into the model and documents
- Assist with internal QA QC and help keep deliverables accurate, coordinated, and on schedule
- Produce 3D views, diagrams, and renderings as needed to communicate design intent
- Support code and zoning research and coordinate compliance items with the PM team
- Support construction administration tasks as needed, including RFIs, submittals, and field observation documentation
- Bachelor of Architecture degree or Master of Architecture degree
- Intermediate level experience, typically around 5 years (approximately 3 to 7 years considered depending on skill level)
- Autodesk Revit proficiency required (BIM first workflow)
- Strong documentation skills and ability to manage drawing sets and deadlines
- Experience with modeling and rendering tools such as Advanced Revit, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Navisworks Manage, Bluebeam Revu, Dynamo for Revit, Rhino plus Grasshopper, Lumion, D5 Render, Enscape, Twinmotion, Sketch Up and Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) for presentations, Microsoft 365 (Excel, Outlook, Teams) for coordination.
- Understanding of architectural technology, building systems coordination, and production documentation
- Working knowledge of basic code and regulatory requirements and building constructability
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal team members
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks, collaborate on teams, and work well under deadlines
- Registered or pursuing registration preferred; LEED AP is a plus
