Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Purchasing Assistant to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity for an individual with experience in purchasing and inventory management to contribute to the success of our service-oriented organization. The ideal candidate will excel in data management, sales order processing, and communication with suppliers and internal teams.

Responsibilities:

- Accurately input and manage data within organizational systems to support purchasing and inventory processes.

- Assist in the creation and tracking of sales orders, ensuring smooth delivery and fulfillment.

- Collaborate with the Purchasing Manager to facilitate timely procurement of materials and services.

- Conduct research on products and suppliers to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve efficiency.

- Prepare detailed reports on purchasing activities, pricing trends, and inventory levels.

- Support invoice processing by verifying invoices against corresponding orders and resolving discrepancies.

- Maintain consistent communication with suppliers and internal departments to ensure alignment on purchasing needs.

- Organize and prioritize multiple tasks effectively to meet deadlines and support team operations.

- Perform general administrative duties, including filing, mail handling, and responding to inquiries.

- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management to meet departmental goals. Requirements - Proven experience in a Purchasing Assistant or similar role.

- Proficiency in Office 365 applications, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.

- Strong understanding of sales order processes and invoicing procedures.

- Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Effective communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.

- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

- Experience with data entry and management, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.

- Familiarity with ERP systems, accounting software, and purchasing processes is highly desirable.
