Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a part-time FAU Foundation Accounting Intern in Boca Raton, FL.

The FAU Foundation Accounting Intern requires strong Excel skills and is detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality to support project activities. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently and handle a variety of account reconciliations and financial tasks with minimal supervision.

Summary of Responsibilities includes:

* Research, review, and summarize contracts and agreements.

* Update ERP system with pertinent data.

* Assist with the digitization of legacy documentation.

* Open mail and prepare cash receipts log, as needed.

* Assist with asset inventory.

* Review and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness.

* Assist with resolving discrepancies and following up on outstanding items.

* Maintain organized records of all work in accordance with internal controls.

* Communicate with other departments as needed to gather data and clarify financial information.

Minimum Qualifications:

Degree-seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA.

Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.

Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP,

and advanced formulas).

High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.

Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.

Understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes preferred.

Salary:

$20.00 per hour.

This part-time student role does not qualify for tuition waiver benefits.
