Position Summary
Florida Atlantic University is seeking a part‑time FAU Foundation Accounting Intern in Boca Raton, FL. The role requires strong Excel skills and is detail‑oriented with a strong focus on accuracy and quality to support project activities. The ideal candidate will work independently and handle various account reconciliations and financial tasks with minimal supervision.
Summary of Responsibilities- Research, review, and summarize contracts and agreements.
- Update ERP system with pertinent data.
- Assist with the digitization of legacy documentation.
- Open mail and prepare cash receipts log, as needed.
- Assist with asset inventory.
- Review and verify financial data for accuracy and completeness.
- Assist with resolving discrepancies and following up on outstanding items.
- Maintain organized records of all work in accordance with internal controls.
- Communicate with other departments as needed to gather data and clarify financial information.
- Degree‑seeking graduate student with a minimum of five credit hours (or nine if international) and a minimum 3.0 GPA.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience.
- Expert‑level proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and advanced formulas).
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and time management.
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality.
- Understanding of accounting principles and reconciliation processes preferred.
$20.00 per hour. This part‑time student role does not qualify for tuition waiver benefits.

Work Days and HoursFlexible within standard business hours of 8 am – 5 pm (10–15 hours per week). This is a time‑limited position (4–5 months).
