We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Accountant to support general accounting functions and the financial reporting process for insurance and reinsurance entities, including regulatory filings with the NAIC and state agencies.

The ideal candidate is hands‑on, highly organized, and capable of delivering accurate, timely, and high‑quality work. This role plays a key part in month‑end, quarter‑end, and annual close processes while ensuring compliance with internal accounting policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

• Prepare and review general ledger accrual imports
• Perform bank‑to‑general ledger reconciliations
• Prepare bank entries to record cash transactions
• Complete monthly bank reconciliations
• Prepare, review, and submit journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation
• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations and variance analyses
• Support month‑end close procedures
• Assist with quarterly and annual Yellow Book filings
• Assist with the preparation and filing of premium tax returns
• Assist in the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Prepare documentation to support annual external audits and state examinations
• Collaborate effectively with employees at all levels across the organization
• Identify and implement new procedures and process improvements in a growing environment
• Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 1–3 years of experience as an Accountant or Bookkeeper

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Working knowledge of financial statement preparation and presentation preferred
• Solid understanding of accounting debits and credits
• Experience with Workday Financials is a plus
• Insurance industry experience is a plus
