With a strong reputation for innovation, stability, and internal career growth, we are expanding our Accounting team and seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Associate to support billing, collections, and account reconciliation activities.
Position OverviewThe Accounts Receivable Associate is responsible for managing assigned customer accounts, maintaining accurate aging, supporting billing and cash application processes, and partnering with customers to resolve discrepancies. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment and enjoys combining analytical work with customer communication.
Key Responsibilities- Manage end-to-end AR activities including billing, cash collections, and account reconciliation
- Monitor and maintain accurate AR aging for an assigned portfolio
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, missing application data, and billing errors
- Process daily cash receipts and apply payments accurately
- Conduct proactive collection outreach and issue delinquency notices as needed
- Document all account activity with clear, detailed notes
- Communicate professionally with customers via phone and email to resolve outstanding balances
- Audit incoming payment transactions and identify credit risk concerns for escalation
- Partner with leadership to support billing and payment automation improvements
- Maintain strong organization, accuracy, and time management across multiple priorities
- High school diploma required; some college or accounting coursework preferred
- 1–3 years of Accounts Receivable, billing, or collections experience
- Working knowledge of AR processes, reconciliations, and customer account management
- Must have intermediate Excel skills required (including VLOOKUP and data analysis)
- Ability to work hands-on in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
