About the Role

The Staff Accountant III is responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting operations, maintaining accurate financial records, and ensuring compliance with company policies and accounting standards. This role plays a key part in assisting with month-end and year-end closings, reconciliations, and the preparation of financial reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger.
• Perform account reconciliations (bank, balance sheet, and intercompany accounts).
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Maintain and analyze financial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare supporting schedules for audits and management reports.
• Assist with accounts payable (A/P) and accounts receivable (A/R) as needed.
• Help prepare budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policies.
• Participate in process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum 5-years of accounting experience (public or corporate accounting preferred).

Technical &

Soft Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software (e.g., Net Suite, SAP, or Oracle).
• Experience with financial reporting systems and ERP software.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and standard accounting practices.
• Knowledge of internal controls and audit procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
