Job OverviewAs a Field Merchandiser, you'll work independently to showcase your organization, time‑management skills, and ability to establish retailer relationships while representing Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations when needed. On occasion you may work with other products from other companies in the stores that you service.
Salaryand Schedule Details
- Your starting hourly pay rate will be $13.00–$15.00 depending on your skills and experience.
- Eligible Employees receive annual pay increases.
- This is a Part‑Time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
- Average weekly hours for this position are between 8‑10 hours per week.
- Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
- Day‑to‑day engagement:
Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, restock, organize, and monitor the inventory of Hallmark products within and outside the Hallmark department. Communicate with supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and answer surveys for required merchandising activities. Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. - Holiday support:
During seasonal demand peaks such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, anticipate additional days and extended hours. You may be required to work on the actual holiday, including weekends. - Department resets:
Participate in installations and tasks such as building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Notify two weeks in advance for remodel assignments and be available for evening or weekend work. - Team collaboration:
Support other merchandisers in your territory as needed.
This is a physically demanding job requiring a high level of energy and urgency. You will work on the sales floor and in back stockrooms. You must consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 pounds throughout the day and up to 50 pounds on occasion. You will also kneel, squat, walk, and stand, and may need to climb stairs and step ladders.
BasicQualifications
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to read, write, and understand English.
- Capability to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
- Operating a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
- Access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
- Access to reliable transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
