Licensed Practical Nurse; LPN – Urology

Overview

Join Our Team Southwoods Health is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Urology team. While this position is primarily based in our Boardman office, it includes rotation to our Howland and Austintown locations. The LPN works closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to evaluate and provide high-quality patient care, performing a wide range of skilled administrative and clinical duties.

• Patient
  
  Experience:
  
  Create a welcoming and professional environment through exceptional customer service.
• Clinical Support:
  Assist physicians with clinical procedures within the scope of practice and perform Point of Care (POC) testing as ordered.
• Care Coordination:
  Schedule clinical procedures and compile orders, reports, and labs for hospital procedures.
• Communication:
  Manage incoming calls and messages regarding medical concerns; process prescription refills through the EMR.
• Results Management:
  Monitor diagnostic test results, inform patients of results per physician instructions, and schedule necessary follow-up testing or appointments.
• Compliance:
  Complete required Environment of Care (EOC) rounds and ensure all practice processes maintain compliance with regulatory agencies.

• Licensure
  :
  Current LPN license in the State of Ohio.
• Certification
  :
  Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Experience
  :
  • 1+ years of direct patient care experience.
  • 3 years of experience in a physician’s office or ambulatory setting.
  • Previous EMR experience is preferred.
• Skills
  :
  Excellent communication, a high degree of flexibility, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Hours
:
Full-time, Monday – Friday.

Shift
: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm OR 7:30 am – 4:00 pm.

Work-Life Balance
:
No evenings or weekends.
