Registered Nurse; RN – Pre-Admission Testing; PAT

The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods – Boardman, Ohio

Southwoods Health is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) team. In this role, you will be the first point of clinical contact, gathering vital medical information to ensure patients are clinically prepared for their surgical procedures. You will conduct comprehensive pre-operative calls and in-person visits to assess readiness and ensure the highest standards of patient safety.

• Clinical Assessment:
  Conduct thorough phone and in-person assessments, including medication verification and review of medical/surgical histories.
• Collaboration:
  
  Partner with anesthesia staff to determine patient appropriateness based on the facility’s scope and level of care.
• Documentation:
  Accurately document all clinical data and assessments within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Patient Advocacy:
  Address patient questions and concerns, providing comfort and reassurance while supporting their right to privacy.
• Compliance:
  Maintain strict patient confidentiality and protect sensitive health information (HIPAA).

• Licensure:
  Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.
• Certification:
  Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Skills:
  
  Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and time-management abilities.
• Communication:
  Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to interpret and accurately document complex patient information.

Full-time

Monday – Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm (No weekends or holidays)
