Medical Assistant or LPN – OB​/GYN

Southwoods Health is seeking a professional Medical Assistant or LPN to join our OB/GYN team. In this role, you will partner with our physicians to provide high-quality, comprehensive patient care in a friendly and professional environment.

Schedule: 34 hours per week | Monday–Thursday | 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM.

• Clinical Support:
  Room patients, obtain vitals, and record medications/allergies in the EMR. Assist physicians with clinical procedures within your scope of practice.
• Specimen Management:
  Collect and process lab specimens (including POC testing) according to safety and infection control protocols.
• Surgical Coordination:
  Schedule surgeries and preoperative appointments, coordinating with vendors, anesthesia staff, and hospital facilities.
• Patient Communication:
  Manage incoming medical calls, report test results per physician instructions, and process prescription refills through the EMR.
• Administrative Duties:
  Maintain accurate medical records, investigate insurance eligibility, resolve authorization issues, and handle disability/workers' comp documentation.
• Compliance:
  Ensure all practice operations maintain strict compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, ODH, and TJC regulatory standards.

• Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current Certification or Registration (CMA/RMA) from an accredited association.
• 1+ years of on-the-job Medical Assistant experience in a physician office.
• Current LPN License in the State of Ohio.
