Registered Nurse; RN – Surgery

Location: The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods | Boardman, Ohio

Schedule: 3 hours/days per week | 6:00am–2:30pm or 6:30am–3:00pm (Includes scheduled "lates" to complete the surgical day; No weekends, holidays, or call)

Southwoods Health is seeking a detail-oriented Surgery RN to join our elite surgical team. In this role, you will safely provide and guide direct patient care within the surgical setting, ensuring clinical excellence through the implementation of care plans, interventions, and medication administration.

• Clinical Excellence:
  Serve as the Circulating Nurse, coordinating the requirements of scheduled procedures and ensuring all interventions follow hospital policy.
• Patient Safety:
  Lead surgical "time-outs" to confirm patient  site; assist with safe positioning and sterile site preparation.
• Infection Control:
  Maintain and monitor strict compliance with aseptic techniques throughout all procedures.
• Operational Prep:
  Assemble and test all equipment, supplies, and instruments prior to the start of each case.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate patient care records and clinical documentation while ensuring strict HIPAA confidentiality.
• Collaboration:
  
  Work as a vital member of the surgical team to support positive patient outcomes and efficient resource management.

Licensure:
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio.

Certifications:

BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association (AHA).

Skills:

Strong critical thinking, effective delegation, and the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
