Position Highlights:
The Director of Mahoning Valley Surgery Center is responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective operations of the surgery center, ensuring high-quality anesthesia care, and supporting a range of initiatives to improve patient care and safety. This role involves providing operational and anesthesia support, assisting with quality improvement projects, promoting sustainability, responding to safety events, and collaborating with surgeons and perioperative surgical home providers.
The Director will work closely with the Chair of Anesthesia to streamline anesthesia care across all areas of the institution.

This position offers:
- Outpatient-focused practice at our Boardman facility, with a wide variety of pediatric surgical procedures.
- Minimal call requirement - approximately one call per quarter at Akron Children's main campus in Akron, Ohio.
- Supportive, collegial team with strong collaboration across surgical and anesthesia teams.
- Opportunities for teaching and involvement in hospital committees if desired.
Requirements:
- MD or DO with board certification or board eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Fellowship training in Pediatric Anesthesiology
- Eligibility for an active Ohio medical license.
- A commitment to excellence in patient care, safety, and collaboration
Requirements:
The incumbent will be board eligible, or board certified in Pediatric Anesthesia, and will have the ability to obtain an active medical license in the state of Ohio.This position is a 501(c)(3) site which qualifies for Public Service Loan Forgiveness through the Federal government.
