Job PurposeThis position is a teller role responsible for providing excellent customer service, opening deposit accounts, processing complex teller transactions, selling bank products and services, and addressing customer issues. The teller will uncover additional customer needs and refer them to the appropriate business partner, playing a vital role in achieving branch goals while delivering industry‑leading service.
Job Duties- Deliver superior customer service with a friendly, can‑do attitude.
- Develop and retain the customer base, greeting by name, maintaining account ownership knowledge, and responding promptly to correspondence.
- Maintain confidentiality of all customer business.
- Receive checks and cash for deposits, verify amounts, and examine checks for endorsement and negotiability.
- Process complex multi‑step teller transactions and resolve customer issues using organizational knowledge.
- Initiate conversations to uncover customer needs, refer customers to platform associates, and meet referral goals.
- Make sales calls via phone or Zoom to clients and prospects on a weekly basis, recording activities in Salesforce.
- Consistently meet or exceed sales referral goals and maintain a working knowledge of the full line of products and services.
- Maintain balancing and error records in line with policy, finding and correcting outages when needed.
- Follow operational standards for security, risk management, and compliance.
- Complete all required training for bank and branch policies and procedures.
- Meet scheduled working hours to support branch functionality.
- Maintain Retail Branch Standards, including dress code.
- Perform special projects as assigned.
Job Skills
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year related work experience in customer service.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with high accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Positive, professional attitude.
- Team player.
- Trustworthy and ability to maintain confidentiality.
- Reliable daily transportation.
- Physical ability to stand or bend/squat as required, lift up to 25 lbs.
- Travel for training or branch coverage, including possible overnight stays.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Minimum 1 year related experience in customer service.
- Daily reliable transportation.
- Ability to stand or bend/squat as needed for night drops, vaults, ATM, etc.
- Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs.
- Travel availability for internal education and branch coverage.
